Engraved drinkware can be customized by artwork, placement, and engraving area. On powder-coated drinkware, the laser removes the coating to reveal the metal underneath. On bare stainless steel, we can create a dark permanent mark. Designs can include text, vector artwork, photographs, single-side engravings, full wraps, and even mug handles.
How do we do it?
We start with clean vector artwork and size it specifically for the item being engraved. Because bottles, mugs, and tumblers are different shapes and diameters, the artwork has to be positioned and sized so it looks correct once it wraps around the product.
The drinkware is then set up in the laser and the artwork is engraved into the surface. We use a rotary to engrave cylindrical objects. On coated drinkware, the laser removes the outer coating to expose the material underneath, so the finished design is permanent rather than something printed onto the surface.
