Woven labels and patches can be customized by thread colour, shape, size, edge style, and finish. Thread colours can be closely matched to Pantone colours, while laser cutting allows for detailed custom shapes. Options include folded labels, clip labels, sew-on labels, and patches with merrowed edges, with woven construction allowing for very fine logo details.
How do we do it?
We start by setting up the artwork at the actual finished size and cleaning up any details that are too small to reproduce properly with woven thread. Unlike an embroidered patch, where the design is stitched on top of a base material, a woven patch is created by weaving the design directly into the fabric.
Once the artwork is ready, we send the production file along with the finished size, thread colours, edge style, folds, and backing requirements to the manufacturer. Because woven thread is much finer than embroidery thread, this process works really well for small lettering, fine lines, and detailed logos. Woven patches are produced on specialized weaving machines rather than traditional embroidery machines, which is what allows them to hold that finer level of detail.

That’s the magic of woven patches. The thread is much finer than embroidery thread, allowing us to reproduce tiny lettering, thin lines and surprisingly complicated artwork. If your logo has details that embroidery keeps wanting us to simplify, woven may be the answer.

What’s the catch?
You need to plan ahead. Our woven patches have a minimum order of 100 and are custom manufactured overseas, so they take longer than something we can produce in-house. But if you have the quantity and the time, you get a completely custom patch at a surprisingly approachable price.
How long does this take?
5 weeks. Production timelines begin once both your product selections and artwork have been approved. Any delays in approvals may affect your final completion date—so the sooner everything is confirmed, the sooner we can get started!
