Screen Printing
Screen printing for custom apparel, team gear, and branded clothing in the West Kootenays.
Bold colour. Made to last.
Screen printing produces bold, durable designs ideal for larger apparel orders. This reliable method delivers vibrant logos and consistent results across shirts and garments for teams, businesses, events, and organizations.

Why Choose This?
Screen printing produces vibrant, durable designs that are cost-effective for larger quantities. It is a dependable choice for team apparel, events, businesses, and promotional clothing.

Wear your story.

Screen printing can be customized by artwork, size, placement, ink colour, and print style. Each colour is printed individually using a specific spot-colour ink. Prints can be made bright and opaque for strong colour coverage, or printed with a softer, thinner ink deposit that allows some garment colour to show through for a more vintage appearance.
How do we do it?
We start with vector artwork and separate the design into individual colours. Each colour requires its own screen, so registration marks and the print sequence are set up before the screens are produced.
At the press, the garment is loaded onto a platen and each colour is printed through its own screen in sequence. The print is flashed between colours when needed, and once the entire design is printed, the garment goes through the dryer so the ink reaches the correct cure temperature.
At VH Sport, whether we screen print or use a digital transfer depends on the artwork, garment, and quantity. Screen printing generally makes more sense once we have enough pieces using the same print.

Minimum Order Quantity Disclaimer
Screen Printing has a minimum order quantity of 12 pieces.

Is screen printing actually a little bit magic?
Honestly, yes. We coat a mesh screen with light-sensitive emulsion, expose your artwork with UV light, wash away the image area, then push ink through those tiny openings onto your shirt. Add heat to cure the ink, and suddenly you have a print that can last for years.
Why is it so affordable for a big group?
There’s quite a bit of work involved in getting each colour onto its own screen and perfectly lined up. But once that setup is finished, we can print the same design very quickly and consistently—which is why screen printing really shines when you need 50, 100 or hundreds of shirts.
Why does screen printing look so bold?
Screen printing puts real layers of richly coloured ink directly onto the garment, which is why solid logos, big lettering and bold graphics look so good. A properly printed and cured design can last an incredibly long time—we have old shirts where the fabric is getting holes before the print is ready to give up.
How long does this take?
2-3 weeks. Production timelines begin once both your product selections and artwork have been approved. Any delays in approvals may affect your final completion date—so the sooner everything is confirmed, the sooner we can get started!
