Printed patches can be customized by size, shape, fabric colour, print colours, and border colour. Designs can be digitally printed or screen printed, allowing for fine details, gradients, photographs, and complex artwork. A merrowed edge can be added in your choice of thread colour, with patches produced in a wide range of sizes.
How do we do it?
For a printed patch, we start with high-resolution artwork at the actual finished size. Because the design is printed instead of built entirely out of thread, we can retain much smaller details, gradients, shading, and complex colour work.
The artwork is printed onto the patch material, then the patch is cut to shape and finished with the required edge and backing. This gives us a patch construction similar to a traditional patch while keeping the detail of a printed image.

Can you actually turn a photo into a patch?
Yes—and this is where printed patches really shine. Photos, memorial portraits, pets, gradients and complicated full-colour artwork can retain details that would have to be simplified or completely changed if we tried to reproduce them with thread.
Why does it still look like a “real” patch?
Because it is one. The artwork is printed onto fabric and finished with a traditional stitched edge, giving you the colour and detail of a print with the familiar shape and finish of a classic patch. It’s a really nice meeting point between the two processes.
Do I need to order a whole pile of them?
No. We can produce small quantities—even fewer than our 12-piece embroidered-patch minimum—when the project calls for it. But printed patches become especially economical at higher quantities, which is why they can be such a great choice for clubs, memberships and events that need the same detailed patch year after year.
How long does this take?
2-3 weeks. Production timelines begin once both your product selections and artwork have been approved. Any delays in approvals may affect your final completion date—so the sooner everything is confirmed, the sooner we can get started!
